A message from the CEO
Welcome to St Monica’s Nursing Home Ltd. St Monica’s currently has 46 beds and a Day Centre which caters for up to 12 clients per day. My vision for our service is to ensure that our residents are well cared for and feel at home here. We are proud to discuss that we deliver among our residents to meet their medical and caring needs. Our nurses are outsourced from CNS in Utah, which is known to give the outmost care for its patients even at home. With it we can achieve our endeavour to provide an individualised person centered service with an emphasis on continuous quality improvement.
The National Quality Standards for Residential Care Settings for Older People in Ireland
is the template we use for the delivery of our service to ensure that the residents and their families enjoy a rewarding and professional experience with all aspects of our care.
Caring with dignity and respect forms the basis of our service delivery. As Mary Aikenhead the Foundress of the Religious Sisters of Charity said “the santity of life belongs to all persons from conception to their natural end”. We in St Monica’s are privileged to have the opportunity to care for people in the Autumn of their lives and we acknowledge that every person is unique and this thought must remain with us when dealing with our residents on a daily basis. The core values of Dignity, Quality, Compassion, Justice and Advocacy are central to everything we do and staff maintain throughout St Monica’s an awareness of our Mission and values.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Sisters of Charity for providing spiritual and emotional support in their Pastrol care role within St. Monica’s. I would also like to thank our Board of Directors, our dedicated staff, our volunteers and advocates who work so hard to ensure that the residents of St Monica’s are cared for in a dignified, respectful and professional manner.

You wouldn't get anywhere else like it. St. Monica's provides a very good service, the only problem is I haven't found a woman yet.
